02M & 02Q Gearbox tie rod kit BAR-TEK®

The BAR-TEK tie rod kit is the perfect reinforcement for your 02M and 02Q gearbox. Our sturdy steel tie-rod plates prevent the gearbox housing from pulling apart. At high torques, the 02M and 02Q transmission tends to push the housing halves apart, which leads to cracks and chipping of the transmission housing. What makes our system different from others? Other systems only have a plate bolted to the outer housing and therefore no continuous connection. Our tie rod kit is bolted to the housing on the clutch side and to the outer housing, thus connecting both halves of the housing with a fixed connection stud bolt. This means that the gearbox halves are securely bolted together even at high torques! We also recommend our Gearbox solid shaft and the 4-speed support! Attention! The Polo WRC requires the 02Q version of the kit! With some gearboxes it may be necessary to fit the intermediate plate 02M301159F to get more space between the clutch and the gearbox or the tie rods. However, this depends on the clutch or flywheel manufacturer. Experience has shown that this is often the case with Sachs single-mass flywheels. There are no problems with our Tilton or RCS systems.
