Racing Main bearings for BMW S65 and S85 Engines Main bearings are subject to high wear and should be replaced regularly. ACL bearings can withstand higher loads than stock bearings. The bearing material is specially manufactured for higher loads and has increased contact pressure. As a result, these bearings tend to twist less in the bearing seat. The ovality of the bearings is increased in order to achieve better lubrication at higher speeds.
