Closed version.With the Vibrant catchtank, the oil vapours from the crankcase ventilation are no longer fed back into the intake tract. Vibrant's 4-port catchtanks offer you the option of returning the filtered air to the circuit (closed circuit). The 2-port version has an integrated stainless steel vent, which means that no external vent filter is required for venting to the atmosphere. The advantages of this system are: No contamination of the intake valves and the intake tract. No more idle fluctuations due to dirty throttle valve or swirl flaps. Note on use in cold climates:The Catch tank is only designed for warm climates.In winter at temperatures below 0C°, the condensation that forms in the system can freeze. This would result in increased crankcase pressure, which can lead to engine damage. We recommend checking the catchtank system more frequently in winter or removing it completely for the cold period.
