It is the last resort for the engine if, for example, the wrong fuel with too low an octane number has been filled, or the charge pressure is too high or the mixture is too lean. Therefore, check the cables and also observe the tightening torque of 20 Nm, otherwise a perfect signal is not guaranteed! The knock sensor is an important component that detects knocking of the engine and transmits it to the control unit. If this sensor is defective and the engine knocks, this can lead to capital piston damage.
